About Me

My name is Pak-Ming Wan and I am an Australian living in Paris. I've been in Paris since August 2008 and have been lucky enough to savour the wonderful beauty and culture of my very generous host country.

I'm currently working for a large international consulting firm, specialising in telecommunications and media clients with international experience in Europe, America, and Asia-Pacific.

What my blog will be about:

• Technology: I love technology and am passionate about how people use it. I've also got a fairly technical background, having worked with UNIX (Linux, OS X, and Solaris) and Windows operating systems, as well as development languages (java, php, perl, as well as others).  And even if they don't let me play with these toys any more, I'm still buying them to play with at home.
• Music: I love classical music and play both the piano and violin.  I thank my parents and my music teachers for this gift that keeps giving. In order to keep up my playing, I'm part of a quartet, and still practice regularly.  Being in the heart of Europe, I listen to more classical music more than ever.
• Photography: Last but not least, in Europe I had the chance to reset my home and partake in more photography.  I love street photography, so in Paris I feel right at home.  Walking around Paris, interacting and observing at tourists, locals, and Parisians is a wonderful experience.
